Kittens don’t have jobs, they don’t study, and they can’t browse the internet, but somehow, they always manage to learn some strange and quirky skills.

Cats Understand Farewells
When the young man was packing for a business trip, the cat in the living room peeked out from behind the door, watching his every move with a worried expression. As the man packed up his personal items but forgot to pack anything for the cat, the little feline slowly tucked its paw in, its eyes wide open, betraying its inner thoughts. The cat thought, Is he really leaving? Am I the only one here? Well then… I guess I can have some fun and play around!

Cats Know Humans Need Attention
The cat spotted a bird outside the window and mumbled some strange little cat sounds, focused on getting ready for the hunt. However, when it noticed the human nearby, it immediately stopped the “conversation” with the bird and turned to the human, purring a soft “meow” in a completely different tone. Despite being busy with the hunt, the cat still made time to charm and indulge the human. This shows just how much the human means to the cat—it’s a truly heartwarming thought. Whenever my cat takes a moment to pay attention to me, it feels like the best thing ever. How come all cats aren’t like this?

Cats Treat People Differently
The cat was quietly lounging on the attic floor, staring off into space when Dad placed his hand above it. Instantly, the cat became alert, stood up, and swatted at Dad’s hand with two sharp punches. Dad, confused, tried again, thinking the cat was just grouchy. But once he placed his hand there again, the cat gave him a few more swift hits. It seemed like the cat was treating Dad like an enemy. The next moment, however, when the cat saw Mom’s hand approach, it first glanced around, adjusting its mood. Upon feeling Mom’s gentle touch, the cat carefully nibbled on her hand, then licked it a few times—no aggression at all. This shows that despite looking a bit goofy, cats can clearly distinguish who’s who and treat them accordingly—love or hate, it’s all written on their faces.

Cats Don’t Naturally Hate Dogs—Just Certain Ones
The ginger cat was sleeping peacefully on the chair when the house dog came over and started licking the cat’s face. Woken up by the licking, the cat narrowed its eyes, glaring at the dog. The dog, feeling helpless, licked its lips and stared ahead. The cat raised its paw but then put it down, deciding to spare the dog this time, but warned it there wouldn’t be another. However, the same cat acted completely differently toward another dog in the house. When it passed by, it gently rubbed its head against the dog’s chin and slowly walked away, its tail brushing against the dog’s neck. A few moments later, the cat came back, rubbed its head against the dog’s chin again, and even gave the dog a little kiss on the neck before running off. Who could resist such a display of affection? In fact, a cat’s love or dislike can be seen in a single glance.

Cats Have Hidden Skills, Especially When It Comes to Manipulating Their Owners
When the cat senses you’re cold, it will stretch out its paw and gently pull your hand into its paws to warm you up. The cat can do backflips—not just a trick, it really can do it. And when you’re not paying attention, the cat might suddenly give you a “shadowless” kick and quickly run off—so fast that without a camera, you’d think it was a hallucination. The cat also loves to play “bungee jumping.” Instead of using the stairs, it jumps directly from the upstairs to the sofa, a game both cats love. I have reason to believe that the playful cow-patterned cat discovered this game first. Even stray cats learn new skills: when a human waves at them and says goodbye, the cat immediately sits up and waves back. This new skill gives the stray a little more confidence for its future adventures.
Does Your Cat Have Any Strange Skills? As for me, I have a cat that’s pretty indifferent to the usual cat behaviors. It doesn’t wash its face, doesn’t lick its fur, and certainly doesn’t bury its waste. But what can I do? I still have to spoil it!
